Dr. Steven Pinsky, currently an Attending in Anesthesiology at Mercy Medical Center, began his medicinal journey at Duke University where he earned his bachelor of Arts Degree. He then went on to receive his M.D. from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completing his internship at the Veterans Administration Program at New York University Medical Center.
His extensive expertise in anesthesiology began with his residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where he also completed subspecialty training in Neuroanesthesia and Cardiac Anesthesia.
Dr. Pinsky continued his education with a fellowship in pain management at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he discovered his mission to provide patients with efficient and personalized pain relief.
His mission has been carried out since 1994 when he first joined Mercy Medical Center’s team, and has since become the Director of Pain Management at the hospital, which is scheduled to open a regionally leading state of the art pain management facility in 2021.
Dr. Pinsky, member of the Healthgrades Honour Roll and Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), continues to alleviate people’s pain daily with his cutting edge and integrative approach to pain management including strategies such as spine and joint injections, radio frequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, PRP and stem cell therapies, among others.
He has been consistently listed as one of Long Island’s top pain doctors in Newsday’s Top Doctors List.
Dr. Pinsky says he owes it all to his beautiful family including his wife Jana, his two daughters Gillian and Kendall, and their dog Salty. He enjoys fishing and wind surfing in his spare time.
